Congregational Support Committees

The following committee support worship services, fellowship, and St. Mark's congregational needs.


Baptism and Sewing

This committee makes baptismal napkins and polishes the dish in the baptismal font.



This committee prepares food for funerals.


Office Assistant

This committee assists the Church Secretary with bulletin inserts, addressing newsletters, and other duties as requested.


Communion Ware

This committee prepares the vessels for communion as well as cleaning and storing them after the worship service. They also maintain a sufficient supply of wafers and wine and clean altar linens when needed.



This committee places flowers in the chancel area and provides a monthly flower schedule allowing congregational members to sign up to provide flowers. They are also responsible for ordering Easter lillies and poinsettias.



This committee is responsible for displaying the altar paraments in harmony with the church year. They also clean candle holders and the eternal candle as needed. They launder acolyte gowns and keep the area behind the rock wall organized and clean.


Oil Candle Filling

This committee fills the altar candles with oil as needed and maintains a sufficient supply of oil.



This committee meets with the bridea nd her family and assists them in arrangements for the wedding and reception should it be held at the church.


Youth Referral Secretary

This individual keeps the ND LCMS District office informed of youth in our congregation attending school away from home.


Banner/Parament Design

This committee makes banners as requested by the Pastor and other organizations or ad hoc committees, e.g., congregational anniversary committee, etc.



This committee keeps periodicals up to date, purcahses new materials, and maintains the library inventory.



This group meets weekly during the winter months to prepare quilts for missions, community needs, and high school seniors.
